BGWS 029 – Easter Island

Easter Island is a a two-player strategy game about bouncing light beams around the board in an attempt to destroy your opponent’s pieces. (10:38)

This week on Board Games with Scott, Scott Nicholson explores Easter Island. In this two-player abstract(ish) strategy game, players move pieces that can reflect beams of light. Players can also shoot beams of light from off the board, reflecting these beams around in an attempt to destroy their opponent’s pieces.

BGWS 028 – Timbuktu / Tombouctou

Timbuktu is a lighter-weight deduction game where players lead herds of camels through the dangerous desert, avoiding traps and delivering goods. (17:15)

This week on Board Games with Scott, Scott Nicholson explores Timbuktu. This is a deduction game from Germany where players attempt to carry goods via camels safely to Timbuktu. As the game goes on, dastardly theives await at the oases to steal goods from camels that happen to be in the wrong place. Players deduce the safe places to travel through cards and observation.
